City of Crane Parks

Parks, trails and recreation areas are a critical part of what shapes quality of life for everyone in the Crane community. Crane Parks and Recreation is dedicated to creating a variety of recreation opportunities for our residents and visitors, while preserving and enhancing the rich heritage and natural beauty of this area.

Whatever your age and whatever the season, you'll find many ways to be active and enjoy the great outdoors. There's so much to explore!

Your Park System

Did you know the City of Crane Parks system includes four ball fields, over 5k of community trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, outdoor pavilions, a municipal swimming pool, a basketball court, a skate park and great opportunities for trout fishing and wildlife enthusiasts?  The extensive City Park system involves approximately 86 acres throughout the City.  Crane Creek is a major attraction of the parks and runs adjacent to and in some areas through just over 1.2 miles of the Park.  Crane Creek is an important part of the community and the Conservation Department.  In 2011, Crane Creek was designated as one of Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) priority watersheds and falls within the Ozark/White Ecological Drainage Unit.

Visiting a Park with Your Pet

None of the parks located within the City of Crane include an off-leash area for dogs. You're welcome to bring your furry companion to our parks but we ask that you keep them on leash at all times. In addition, owners are required by ordinance to pick up and dispose of pet waste. You'll find trash cans throughout our parks and trails to help you do this.
